Assalamu Alaikum wa Eid Mubarak! We will inshaa'Allah be holding salat al-eid in the YWCA, on the corner of Bancroft and Bowditch, at 8:00 am Monday, December 8th. There will also be a following prayer at 9:00am, same location, for those who have class from 8-9:00. Also, as another reminder, we will have salat al-juma'a at the YWCA as well for the next two weeks, NOT Hearst Gym. Salamat, MSA Board |

Peace Not Prejudice Week - "Shattering the Stereotype" Monday November 17 Speak My Peace Poetry Slam 8pm Multicultural Center/Heller Lounge -- Come out and listen as your community expresses themselves on personal issues and experiences regarding peace, prejudice and stereotypes! You can SIT BACK and enjoy the show, or STEP UP and take the stage! Tuesday November 18 Rebuilding the Image Discussion Panel 7pm 10 Evans -- Hear a DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE as respected campus and community leaders speak on stereotypes and discrimination that exist today - including, but not limited to, the reasons for hate, their effects and impacts, what steps we can take to SURPASS prejudice, etc. Wednesday November 19 Mosaic of Peace Community Building 7:30pm Multicultural Center/Heller Lounge -- Using ART to express our solidarity, come contribute to the MURAL-MAKING process! The final piece will be displayed in the MCC! Following will be workshops where we break into small groups and address stereotypes in CONSTRUCTIVE ways, highlighting and communicating our DIVERSITIES, instead of undermining them. Thursday November 20 PEACE RALLY! 5pm Upper Sproul -- Strength in numbers, let's show the community that we are ONE! Wear your GREEN SHIRTS representing peace, unity, and diversity. Enjoy the speakers and live performances!
